They consume too much energy, or become obsolete too fast.

A low data website is a website that is low maintenance, low cost, loads fast, and looks good on most devices.

It is easy to update.

Plus, you control and own your data.

• deploy your first ‘hello world’ website in 15 minutes
• introduction to the command-line interface
• get started with homebrew; your installation tool
• get started with codeberg.org; your remote repository
• introduction to Codeberg Pages; your deployment tool
• get started with git; your version control tool
• introduction to Static Site Generator (SSG)
• choose your website: blog, single webpage, multiple pages, etc.
• get started with a SSG; set up your first website
• deploy your first website via Codeberg Pages

Optional:

• customize your website with CSS
• introduction to the Domain Name System
• set up your custom domain name

I’m Roman. I’m based in Berlin.

I work in tech. I also do research in philosophy & technology and sometimes write essays; that’s what prompted me to offer a ‘low data’ bootcamp.
